Bylaws of The Flint Greens
(amended 07-18-00)

ARTICLE I Name and Purpose
SECTION 1: The name of this organization
shall be the Flint Greens.
SECTION 2: The purposes of this
organization are to advance the Ten Key
Values of the Greens through
non-political and political activities,
and to function as a local chapter of
the Green Party of Michigan.
ARTICLE II Membership
SECTION 1: The Flint Greens shall be
composed of individuals
that live in or near the Flint and
Genesee
County area, that choose to endorse the
Ten Key Values, and wish to support the
Green Party of Michgan.
SECTION 2: No membership dues shall be
required.
ARTICLE III Local Coordinators
SECTION 1: The Flint Greens shall have
two co-chairs, (one male and one female)
who shall be responsible to call and
chair regular meetings.
SECTION 2: The Flint Greens shall have
one recording secretary, who shall
record decisions of the Flint Greens,
and maintain a membership list, and a
current copy of the bylaws.
SECTION 3: The Flint Greens shall have
one treasurer, who shall oversee any
funds that the Flint Greens may have and
report such funds to the membership.
SECTION 4: The co-chairs, recording
secretary, and treasurer shall be
selected at the last meeting of
each calendar year, to serve in the following year.
ARTICLE IV Decision Making
SECTION 1: Decisions of the Flint Greens
shall be made through either a
consensus of individual
members attending a meeting or
if a consensus cannot be reached, 67%
(2/3) vote of members present.
Such decisions shall include all
matters of local Green Party business,
including selection of coordinators,
and amendments to these bylaws.
ARTICLE V: Committees
SECTION 1: The Flint Greens shall maintain a bylaws committee of at least three and no more that nine members, that shall review and recommend any proposed changes to these bylaws.
SECTION 2: All other committees shall be formed
and dissolved as deemed necessary by
members present at a regular meeting, in
accordance with ARTICLE IV.
